LASTING PAINTWORK PROTECTION

TOP PAINT PROTECTION FILM INSTALLER LAS VEGAS, NV

WHAT IS PAINT PROTECTION FILM?

Paint protection film or PPF as it is often called, is a clear film that covers areas on the exterior of your vehicle that are susceptible to damage. Though paint protection film is not designed to withstand rigorous damage, its surface does provide an additional barrier of paintwork protection for all vehicle makes and models. Paint protection film can be applied on the hood, fenders, mirrors or door frames of your vehicle for an additional line of defense against rock chips and road debris caused by hazardous driving conditions and inclement weather. Paint protection film is a great way to safeguard your paint from being chipped away during normal wear and tear without compromising the appearance of your car's exterior design.

COMMONLY ASKED PAINT PROTECTION FILM QUESTIONS

  • HOW LONG DOES CLEAR BRA/PAINT PROTECTION FILM LAST?

VR AutoSpa is proud to offer durable Paint Protection Film (PPF) products which provide our customers with peace of mind. The life of our PPF films typically range from five to ten years depending on how well they are cared for. Routine maintenance will help to prolong the life of your PPF and ensure that it looks amazing for as long as possible.

  • WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CERAMIC COATING AND PPF?

A ceramic coating differs slightly from paint protection film. Though both offer beneficial protection for your vehicle’s exterior, it varies in its degree. Ceramic coating is a liquid that is applied by hand to your vehicle’s surface and provides protection for environmental elements such as UV exposure, bug & bird residue, as well as dirt and water repellency.

On the other hand, PPF is a durable, near-invisible thermoplastic that covers the surface of your car with a consistent thickness and offers a more physical protection for your vehicle’s exterior. For example, PPF can help to absorb and repel the impact of small scratches, scuffs, and debris such as rocks. In fact, PPF can act as a sacrificial barrier in large debris situations – which, in turn, makes PPF more cost effective versus repainting a body panel.

  • CAN I APPLY PPF OVER EXISTING SCRATCHES OR DAMAGE?

To ensure the best adhesion possible, we highly recommend applying PPF to clean and undamaged surfaces. This will allow your PPF to last as long as possible, making your investment well worth the cost. Application of PPF over existing defects and damage can result in bubbling or other defects in the film to be visible. Because of this, we highly recommend a thorough exterior detail and paint correction to your vehicle prior to PPF application.

  • HOW IS PPF MAINTAINED?

To help your paint protection film last longer, follow these simple preventative care measures. First and foremost: hand wash your vehicle regularly with soap to keep dirt at bay! Secondly, we highly recommend avoiding traditional car washes because they often contain abrasive residue that can damage your finish. For the utmost protection and ease of care, consult with VR AutoSpa about adding a ceramic coating to your PPF.
